Dan Rather blasts Trump for ‘racist’ criticism of LeBron James, Don Lemon

On Friday night, the President jumped on Twitter and went after LeBron James & Don Lemon for their latest interview this week. Michelle Obama tweeted James on Tuesday. It's a disgrace. It's racist.

The Lebron James-Michael Jordan debate has officially reached the Oval Office, though President Donald Trump doesn't seem to be making his choice for basketball reasons.

"James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon", wrote Trump.

As he has proven time and time again, LeBron James will never just "shut up and dribble". "I Like Mike!" he concludes the mini rant.

"If someone tried to recruit a LeBron to run for president, they said, 'Listen, they've got no one, if you don't run, Trump's going to win, ' would you run?"

Recall that James called Trump a "bum" in a 2017 tweet after Trump uninvited the National Basketball Association champion Warriors to the White House because Stephen Curry decided he wouldn't attend.

James, who this month ended his second stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers by signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, has opened a public school for challenged children in his hometown.

James described Trump as a "bum" following the furor. In addition to talking about the school, James talked about how Trump is using athletics and athletes to divide the country.

James also said he wouldn't attend a ceremony at the White House if his team had won the NBA Finals.

James also mentioned Colin Kaepernick, who was targeted by Trump for his protests over racial injustice by kneeling during the anthem.

This was obviously another dig at CNN (a staple of the president), but Trump threw in a shot at LeBron for good measure.

Funded through his Family Foundation and I Promise Network, the school's educational model borrows from that of the successful KIPP charter network, but it is a traditional public school rather than a charter or private school.
