American-Cuban singer-songwriter Camila Cabello took home the Moon Man trophies for artist of the year and video of the year here at the MTV Video Music Awards, where Jennifer Lopez won the coveted Michael Jackson Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement.

Cardi B's husband Offset, 26, was furious when he thought she had unveiled their baby Kulture at the MTV Video Music Awards. And Lopez started off slow - Kylie Jenner and Scott's unamused faces perfectly captured the vibe - but hit a strong stride when she sang old smashes like "Jenny from the Block" and "I'm Real" - where Ja Rule joined her onstage - and "All I Have", which showed the skilled dancer's vocal range. She then went on to present the Video of the Year Award, because yeah, why not? "Not enough", she said. "I said, 'You know, by Aretha Franklin'". I did not intend to do a tribute to her! "After years of struggling and being broke, I chose to go to auditions for musical theatre".

Below, watch the premiere episode of "Secret Metalheads" - our new video series where we talk to musicians and other inspiring figures outside of metal about their love for the genre - in which Run the Jewels' Killer Mike and El-P explain why Aerosmith were their gateway to heavy music. "I panicked. I had overlooked this important part of the audition process", she continued.

Cardi said she's been blessed with fans "that you can't buy", looking into the camera and shouting an expletive.

Cardi B returned to public life for the first time since giving birth at the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday, August 20.

"Don't be coming for Fifth Harmony", she told Tiffany.

Let us hope that the Grammys can at least get one thing right this year and give the Queen of Soul the tribute she deserves.
