Ozil SHOCKER: Screaming match with Emery at Arsenal training

Saturday's win was Emery's first at Arsenal after the opening the Premier League season with consecutive defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea.

But that doesn't mean he happy with everything his Arsenal side did in their 3-1 victory.

Arsenal introduced Alexandre Lacazette in place of Alex Iwobi at the break but it was Shkodran Mustafi who nearly put the hosts in front soon after the restart - Fabianski again making a smart stop to keep out the German's header.

Emery is hoping his players grow accustomed to a new possession-based system, but the Gunners have had a hard time adapting after the Spaniard took over from Arsene Wenger.

The Gunners created plenty of chances going forward and substitutes Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck made a big difference late in the game.

However, he was still expected to feature against West Ham this weekend - rumours of a rift between Emery and Ozil began to circulate after the former Real Madrid man's name was absent from the team sheet.

Jose Mourinho tells Manchester United to cut out mistakes: 'Nobody is happy'
A win would help Mourinho calm down things, while a defeat would only further intensify fans want for Mourinho's sacking. There, he was asked whether he had any problems with Ed Woodward, the coach responded of course and simply stated "NO".

"We're getting to grips with what the coach wants from us and I think we've played some good football in the past few games".

"The three points were very important", Emery told Sky Sports.

"I'm one of the newer players and I've just joined up with the squad", he continued.

Yet defensively, especially in midfield, Arsenal couldn't cope with Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio and especially Felipe Anderson who launched several counterattacks with astonishing ease. We have to see the reasons why we conceded so many.

He added: "We needed to win today and to show our supporters the three points".

Ozil signed a new £350,000-a-week contract at the Emirates Stadium in January to make him the highest earner in the club's history, but the report claims that Emery would not hesitate to leave him out of his side if he does not meet his demands.
