Soccer Star Cristiano Renaldo Calls Rape Allegation 'Fake News'

Cristiano Ronaldo has responded on Instagram to allegations in German magazine Der Spiegel that he raped an American woman in 2009.

After the incident, he allegedly said, "sorry, I'm usually a gentleman".

Mayorga claims she reached an out of court settlement with the soccer player that she now wants voided.

Lawyers for the football star said they would sue the German magazine for its "blatantly illegal" story.

"The objective of this lawsuit is to hold Cristiano Ronaldo responsible within a civil court of law for the injuries he has caused Kathryn Mayorga and the consequences of those injuries", Stovall told Der Spiegel.

His lawyers have said they will seek "compensation for moral damages" on his behalf in response to the "inadmissible" and "unlawful" reports.

Ronaldo has denied the allegations in an Instagram live video, calling it "fake news". Fake, fake news. They want to promote my name. It's normal. They want to be famous - to say my name. "Yeah, it's part of the job".

"Ninety-nine percent of me is a good guy, I just don't know about the other 1%", he reportedly told her as he fell to his knees. The pair had met at Rain Club at the Palms and were photographed together.

She also said she saw Kavanaugh and Judge lined up at other parties "waiting for their "turn" with a girl inside the room". Blasey said Judge was the other man in the room in 1982 when Kavanaugh covered her mouth and tried to rip her clothes off.

Mayorga revealed meeting Ronaldo that night and that he took her to a penthouse for a party. According to Mayorga's lawsuit, Ronaldo asked her to join the group in a jacuzzi and gave her shorts and a T-shirt to wear. "I wanted him to deal with it, to have to face me", she said.

Kathryn claims that she went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination after Cristiano's alleged attack, and also reported the situation to police.

Mayorga, who previously worked as a teacher, has since gone into hiding. Her brother remembers the day of the mediation, explaining how Ronaldo's room was full of lawyers "laughing and joking" while his sister was in another room crying.

Cristiano allegedly hired a group of "fixers" after the alleged rape, who allegedly paid Kathryn $375,000 to "obstruct a criminal investigation and erode [her] credibility".

Mayorga did not answer telephone calls to her home, Reuters reported. As part of that deal, she agreed never to go public with her allegations.

"She was supposed to be invisible, damned to silence". And, the document says, it avoided the potentially "catastrophic effect" of not letting him travel in the United States.

Shocking details about the incident were recounted in all their gory detail in Der Spiegel.

"After he assaulted me, he wouldn't let me leave again", Mayorga told Der Spiegel. She took notice of comments about the athlete's desirability, she told the magazine, including statements to the effect of, "As if Ronaldo even needs to rape a woman".
