'Wouldn't Bother Me' If FBI Talked With All Kavanaugh Accusers

Arguing that Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) now has more than enough information about Brett Kavanaugh's judicial record, partisanship, and sexual assault allegations to know that he is not fit to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, eight women were arrested early Tuesday morning for occupying the senator's campaign headquarters and demanding he vote against the judge's confirmation.

Trump and Senate Republicans have instructed the FBI to investigate it and any other "credible allegations" against him, but the president also said "speed" was important in the process.

Lisa Murkowski, a key undecided vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, says she's not anxious that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is moving too fast on the nomination this week.

"My White House will do whatever the senators want", Mr Trump said.

The party's narrow 51-49 majority means that if all Democratic senators vote against the nominee, Republicans can only afford one defection. "The interaction with the members was sharp and partisan, and that concerns me", Mr Flake said.

■The Post reported that as of Monday afternoon agents had interviewed at least four people: three who were identified as attending a party in Maryland where Christine Blasey Ford alleged that Kavanaugh assaulted her when they were teenagers; and a second accuser, Deborah Ramirez, who says Kavanaugh exposed himself to her when both were Yale students.

An FBI report on sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh has the potential to change the trajectory of his confirmation - and in turn, possibly, the direction of the Supreme Court for a generation to come. He said he may run - either as a Republican or an independent - if no one else does. Kavanaugh repeatedly has denied all such allegations against him. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., center, speaks with reporters after meeting with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Ky.in his office in the Capitol in Washington.

Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid - Football Match Report
Real Madrid suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat to Sevilla last week, and played out a goalless draw with Atletico at the weekend. It means Real second, level on points with Barcelona , while Atletico are just two behind in fourth.

"Unfortunately, despite having the time and opportunity to do so, Senator McConnell has refused to allow that FBI investigation".

Flake said the Federal Bureau of Investigation had completed interviews with four people.

McConnell is expected to lead the efforts to whip support for Kavanaugh, along with senators who are close to the key swing votes. She said, "I'm waiting to see what the results are". A third woman who has accused the judge of sexual misconduct in the 1980s, Julie Swetnick, was not on the initial list of witnesses to be interviewed. Ludington said Kavanaugh had mischaracterized the extent of his drinking at Yale.

The revised guidance was aimed at promoting an investigation that could tamp down Democratic criticism and satisfy on-the-fence Republicans about its thoroughness and fairness while also ensuring a fixed deadline to prevent the probe from becoming open-ended and spanning weeks.

The president said that the confirmation process for his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was held to a different standard than the traditional idea of justice in America - innocent until proven guilty. Leadership has yet to lock down the 50 Republican votes needed to install Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, and each passing day brings the possibility of new revelations.

"A lot is going to depend on what comes back from the FBI in terms of their additional. investigation", Trump said.

A vote to confirm Mr Kavanaugh has been delayed as the FBI investigates the claims, which he denies.

Ms Ford shared her allegation at an extraordinary congressional hearing last week that also included Mr Kavanaugh's angry and emotional denial.
