Amy Schumer, Emily Ratajkowski Arrested At Kavanaugh Protest

Video is emerging on social media of Schumer attending Thursday's protest in Washington, DC, and the "I Feel Pretty" star appears to be one of the many women detained by police while protesting on Capitol Hill.

Comedian Amy Schumer and model/actress Emily Ratajkowski were among some 300 demonstrators who were arrested for staging a sit in inside the Dirksen Senate Office Building to protest the Brett Kavanaugh debacle. It is believed that both Schumer, Ratajkowski, and hundreds of others have been detained. One of them asks her, "Do you want to be arrested", and she responds, "Yes", as they continue moving.

This is not an argument over whether or not Kavanaugh is guilty of sexual assault; this is an argument that men are still controlling women's bodies.

"Let's stay together, let's fight, let's keep showing up", she said.

Protesters gathered at the Hart Senate Building atrium after US Capitol Police barricaded the front of the Capitol.

Ratajkowski shared a photo of herself carrying a hand-written sign reading, "Respect female existence or expect resistance". Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power.

The interim plea, seeking urgent measures to stop the proposed deportation of seven Rohingyas, was filed in a pending PIL. It is wrong, they haven't been recognised, Prashant Bhushan replied, saying it was the responsibility of the court.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., with actress and comedian Amy Schumer, right, speaks at a rally against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh at the Supreme Court in Washington, Oct. 4.

Earlier Schumer was heard addressing the crowd telling them: "no matter how this goes, they can not keep us down".

During the protest she said: 'No matter how this goes, they can not keep us down. Your comments are synonymous with saying what a woman wears insights bad behaviour'.

Kavanaugh is expected to win confirmation to the Supreme Court today.

Ratajkowski also took to Twitter to share her arrest. Have you written three furious tweets to, I don't know maybe, someone who sexually assaulted someone?

Thousands of protesters, survivors of sexual assault among them, gathered outside the courthouse in the United States capital where Kavanaugh now sits as a federal judge and walked in unison to the supreme court, where he hopes to secure a lifetime appointment.
