Hope Hicks Joins New Fox as Chief Communications Officer

Former White House communications director Hope Hicks has been named the head of corporate communications for New Fox, Variety reported Monday.

The new Fox will include Fox News, Fox Sports, the Fox network and TV stations. Her new role will give her power in an amorphous media company, figuring out an identity after selling off numerous products for which it is best known.

Fox Chief Legal and Policy Officer Viet Dinh released a statement about the decision to hire Hicks and Danny O'Brien.

Hicks will move to Los Angeles to start her new role once the sale is finalized with Disney.

I did not plan this, I tried to get here. "15 minutes I'm here, this guy didn't come, this is disrespect. have a good night", he said.

While her role at the White House was mostly behind the scenes, she was one of Mr Trump's most trusted aides and had worked for him at his real estate company before he was elected.

Mr. Trump's fondness for Fox News is well-storied, with the president frequently tweeting out quotes from his favorite hosts and guests. She went on to work on Trump's transition team before officially joining the White House communications team in January 2017. So happy for my friend.

"FOX won't find anyone smarter or more talented than Hope Hicks", Sanders wrote. "They are beyond lucky to have you". O'Brien is a longtime Washington hand who was staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and chief of staff to three senators.

The new company is expected to get an official name and begin operations early next year.
