YouTube back up after access problems

YouTube is used by billions of users around the globe on a daily basis and is backed by Google's robust digital infrastructure.

The service was back up as of 11 a.m. HK/SIN time, although YouTube did not explain what caused the outage.

Users had complained that services including YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music could not be accessed as usual.

YouTube's video streaming service went out for more than an hour on Tuesday, apparently affecting locations around the world.

The company has since issued a statement saying YouTube is back. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated", Team Youtube posted on Twitter.
