A New Jersey man walking to buy a lottery ticket for this week's massive Mega Millions jackpot fell and broke his hip, but the trip to the hospital turned into his lucky break.

There were lots of hugs and smiles at Jefferson Stratford Hospital where 142 people in a lottery pool won $1 million.

The ticketholder of the $1.5 billion Mega Millions jackpot in Simpsonville, South Carolina, has still not been identified.

Patel says he has no idea who bought the winning ticket for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

Livingston's niece, Bobbie Mickle, told the station that at first she didn't believe him. "I thought he was confused, maybe from pain meds".

It could be the fourth largest in United States lottery history and the game's third largest jackpot.
