Von Miller reacts to Demaryius Thomas trade to Texans

As the NFL's 4 p.m. trade deadline approached on Tuesday, the Broncos got things started by trading wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the Houston Texans.

Also looking on the bright side, while their depth on the offensive line is far from ideal with backup Greg Mancz now filling in for Zach Fulton and rookie Martinas Rankin failing to impress so far, their protection in both the pass and run game has been vastly improved over the past two weeks, helping Lamar Miller to two straight 100-plus yard rushing games, and not having allowed a single sack against the Dolphins last Thursday.

Thomas, a nine-year National Football League veteran, five-time Pro Bowl selection (2012-16) and former Super Bowl Champion (50), has played in 125 games (111 starts) and 10 postseason contests in his career (2010-18). The Texans will be in Denver Sunday afternoon to take on the Broncos.

In addition to the 2019 NFL Draft capital, the Broncos also receive significant relief on their 2018 and 2019 salary cap.

What Thomas' trade means for Emmanuel Sanders is he is undoubtedly the No. 1 receiver on the Broncos.

This isn't going to be a game that will see a dominate team on either said, but most likely a game where it will come down to who plays the best in the fourth quarter as the one-point difference by the odds makers states at the mid-way point of the week. Prior to Tuesday he spent his entire nine-year career in Denver.

Thomas was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2012-14 and 2016. The two won a Super Bowl, and were among some of the few "OGs" that the Broncos had left from that championship team. "Sutton and Thomas are both 6'3", further proving that Sutton may be Thomas 2.0.
