Black Mirror: Bandersnatch Trailer Hits - Change Your Mind, Change Your Future

Netflix has finally released its highly anticipated Black Mirror movie, Bandersnatch.

Via various Tweets, articles, and Instagram posts, it appeared as though Netflix would be dropping a very special and unique 90-minute long Black Mirror episode on December 28th.

The Netflix original series "Black Mirror" has been playing with our minds for four seasons on the small screen, with creepy and thought-provoking episodes like "White Bear", "The Entire History Of You" and "Nosedive".

The one catch is that the new "choose your own adventure" format might not work on older devices such as older Apple TVs or Smart TVs. A Twitter user in November noted that the video game Bandersnatch was referenced in Black Mirror's season three episode Playtest, which revolves around a terrifying video game system that blurs the lines between the real and the unreal.

It is actually pretty easy to make a "wrong" choice in Bandersnatch, particularly when you drive the story into a dead end. The viewer gets about 10 to 15 seconds to make a choice, so you can factor that in to your calculations.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.

8-Year-Old Boy Dies on Christmas Morning in Border Control Custody
Her death fueled criticism of President Donald Trump's immigration policies from Democrats and migrant advocates. Customs and Border Protection say the boy died shortly after midnight Tuesday.

Netflix says choices will pop up about every 1.5 minutes and you can use your remote control, fingers, or console controller to enter your preference.

This lines up with earlier reports that claimed Bandersnatch contains more than five hours of footage.

Fionn Whitehead ("Dunkirk") will star in the film alongside Will Poulter ("Maze Runner: Death Cure") and Asim Chaudhry.

"Bandersnatch" is worth watching - or perhaps studying - as a snapshot of where interactivity might be heading. Hopefully Bandersnatch will be another compelling entry into the Black Mirror universe. And, as with most "Black Mirror" episodes, things take a wild and warped turn.

Discovering all the endings and their permutations will clearly take all weekend, so we'll let you get to it. Let's report back in a few days with the inevitable brain damage this groundbreaking show has caused us.

Bandersnatch set in the '80s and chock-full by video game references, Netflix has upped the immersive experience by making available one of the games featured in the film - with a twist.
