Steelers WR Antonio Brown wants to play with... the 49ers?

The All-Pro wide receiver added fuel to the rumors that he wants to be traded to the 49ers on Wednesday morning, when he posted a picture of Jerry Rice, and a goat, to his Instagram story.

"Ben Roethlisberger says on his radio show (93.7 the Fan) he had no issue w/ A. Brown".

The Steelers listed Brown with a knee injury on Thursday's injury report after initially labeling him with a non-injury designation Wednesday.

Brown pressed the "Tweet" button at the exact same time Tomlin appeared to criticize his behavior.

The head coach told reporters that Brown had discomfort in his knee on Friday and was sent for an MRI, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

La Canfora also reported it was a request and not a demand, also stating how unlikely it would be for Pittsburgh to meet Brown's request and deal him off. JuJu Smith-Schuster, whom his teammates voted as team MVP instead of Brown, also fumbled with one minute left to effectively end the game.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari, who was dealing with a hip injury during the week, watched most of the second half from the sideline. It was unclear exactly when Rodgers got hurt, though he lost his helmet during a sack on his second play of the game.

A trade after June 1 seems somewhat more likely as the would be able to save over $15.1 million, but it still seems like Brown will be sticking around thanks to his talent. Rapoport reported the National Football League is expected to look into the injury designation to see if proper protocol was followed.

"I talked to him prior to the game on Sunday", Tomlin said. "I know guys that are frustrated".

"He is such an incredible talent, and I've been blessed to have him as my teammate and truly a good friend, one of my better friends on the team ..."

He said, "Ya'll stay tuned". "If there was a blowout, I certainly didn't see it", said Roethlisberger, who talked to Brown Thurs AM and "everything was great", but understands frustration from Brown being gone late in week.

"We're going to deal with it appropriately, we're going to deal with it in house, and I'm sure that you'll hear about the intimate details, but because we're not playing a game this week, it hasn't been addressed at this point", said Tomlin.
