Sarri wants new Chelsea striker

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has hinted his side need attacking reinforcements after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Southampton.

"The club knows very well my opinion".

Chelsea is now fourth in the table, three points ahead of Arsenal and six up on Manchester United for the last Champions League spot.

"I am not in charge of the [transfer] market, of course, so I have to think about the matches I have to play every three days, so I can only say my opinion to the club".

With Olivier Giroud out injured, Alvaro Morata is the only healthy striker on Chelsea's roster.

"Maybe another winger, because now we are in trouble with the injuries of Pedro, of [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, so I have the option [Hazard] and what an option for the striker, but at the moment I have no option for the wingers".

Women, in 40s, offer prayers at Sabarimala temple
The development comes a day after tens of thousands of women formed a human chain across the state in support of the court order. For centuries, women of menstruating age have been banned from the Sabarimala temple in the southern Indian state of Kerala.

New signing Christian Pulisic won't join the club until next season, loaned back to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the current campaign.

He said: "I didn't know anything about Pulisic yesterday [Tuesday]".

Shearer added: "Is Sarri-ball when they ask a midfielder to get on the ball and pass it around".

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are the Premier League clubs who are keen to sign Kessie from the Serie A giants in the future.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will turn their attentions towards FA Cup affairs on Saturday when they take on Nottingham Forest in the third round at Stamford Bridge.
