Kevin Spacey Appears In Court For Sexual Assault

Kevin Spacey pleaded not guilty on Monday to indecently assaulting a teenager who alleged that the Oscar-winning U.S. actor groped him in a bar in MA in 2016.

Spacey - the former star of House of Cards - was arraigned in a Nantucket, Mass. court on charges of felony indecent assault and battery during a brief hearing.

Spacey, who has been accused of groping other young men during his almost three decades-long career in Hollywood, didn't have much else to say during the hearing.

A pre-trial hearing has been set for 4 March.

Spacey's lawyers said that despite the texts and Snapchat messages during the encounter, the teen didn't tell his then-girlfriend about the alleged sexual assault. Jackson said the data was "likely exculpatory".

Spacey and his lawyers declined to comment as they left the courthouse amid a crush of reporters.

The actor faces five years in prison if charged for repeatedly reaching down into the trousers of a man identified as William Little, who was 18 at the time of the alleged assault in July 2016 at a Nantucket restaurant.

However, according to Spacey's attorneys, the woman told law enforcement that at no time while she was receiving contemporaneous contact from the alleged victim did he ever describe himself as being the victim of a sexual assault.

That aligns perfectly with the Dodgers refusal to go ten years which the Nationals offered Harper at the beginning of free agency. That could then leave the door open for the Nationals to make a similar offer to the one they reportedly made in September.

Spacey was considered one of the finest actors of his generation, but his career nosedived following allegations of sexual misconduct by more than a dozen men in the United States and Britain. The victim said he videotaped Spacey groping him.

Spacey's first accuser, actor Anthony Rapp, claimed Spacey had climbed on top of him on a bed in 1986 when Rapp was 14 and Spacey 26.

Reuters is not identifying Unruh's son because he is an alleged victim of sex assault. According to the complaint, the busboy told police Spacey bought him a number of alcoholic drinks, bragged to him about the size of his penis, and tried to get him to go back to the actor's house afterward.

Spacey has also faced other allegations.

A lawyer for Spacey - whose legal name is Kevin S Fowler - had earlier asked the judge to allow the hearing to happen without the defendant present, but that request was refused.

Later that day, the actor released video in which he appeared as his House of Cards character Frank Underwood.

The accuser's attorney, Mitchell Garabedian, issued a statement Monday saying his client hopes to serve as an example to other victims. Spacey said he did not remember the incident but apologized if the allegations were true.
