The other two phones will apparently have dual-lens cameras, which would mean no change in the number of lenses for the iPhone XS successor (which we're calling the iPhone 11 for now) but would be one extra for the iPhone XR successor. Reports for the company's problems with the iPhone XR continue to surface, fuelled by analysts decreasing shipment estimates for the smartphone.

Apple is planning to launch three new iPhone models later this year according to sources familiar with the matter as reported by The Wall Street Journal. In fact, it's believed that Apple might be looking to reduce its inventory for the iPhone, particularly as it's nearly a fact that the company overshot its expectations for iPhone sales this quarter.

Apple unveiled its 2018 iPhones in September.

China's retailers are cutting iPhone prices amid poor sales in the country. Alibaba-backed Suning and have both cut its iPhone prices this week, according to Reuters.

However, it comes as Apple CEO Tim Cook told Mad Money's Jim Cramer, when asked about reports that the iPhone XR was a flop, Cook says he calls 'bologna on that'. One seller had a 256GB version of the iPhone XS Max, Apple's most premium device, for 9,699 yuan ($1,436), way below the USA firm's official selling price of 10,999 yuan ($1,628) for that smartphone. A different retailer sold 128GB and 256GB of the iPhone XR for 700 yuan off the regular price.

It is worth to mention that a week after the shock created by the announcement of a downward adjustment of its revenue forecast for the last quarter of 2018, we learn that Apple has made a decision to reduce by 10% the production of the new iPhones.

We are still at a very early stage of iPhone rumours, though.

And after Apple announced last week that it was forced to revise its guidance downward for the first fiscal quarter due to lower-than-expected iPhone sales in China, many sounded the alarms.
