Winter weather advisory issued for McHenry County

Environment Canada says there's the risk of freezing drizzle Tuesday morning and periods of freezing rain, rain or snow tonight, Wednesday, Thursday, and into Friday. Temperatures remain in the 20s and 30s for highs although a few spots may be able to get in the 40s tomorrow.

Environment Canada has issued a Freezing Rain Warning for London and surrounding areas as a system moves in Tuesday night.

We should see freezing rain switching to rain after 11 a.m. and rain showers will be around into the mid afternoon before drying out temporarily. Again it's going to be spotty so confidence is low on where impacts will be however confidence is somewhat high it'll be greatest in those under the winter weather advisory. Snow and sleet accumulation is likely north of I-96. Sidewalks and parking lots could become slippery too. We see a break from precipitation much of Wednesday before the next approaching area of low pressure arrives Thursday.
