Solskjaer's next job is to lead the side - this time as manager - back into Champions League action against Paris St Germain on Tuesday.

After winning the Premier League manager of the month for January, Manchester United interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to be rewarded further.

"If he wants to be at Cristiano's level, Anthony knows what he has to do", said Solskjaer.

The Frenchman has been in impressive form for the Red Devils this season and has recently signed a new contract with the club that will keep him at Old Trafford until at least 2024. And finally, it was Pogba (2 goals), who eased United's transition in the final third with some excellent passing and hold-up play in and around the half-spaces.

Martial's goal, which saw him run from the halfway line, led ex-United captain Gary Neville to compare it to a Ronaldo victor at Craven Cottage in 2007.

Manchester United finally moved into the top four yesterday, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn't planning on relinquishing that place any time soon. He excites the manager.

Fulham Game Is Character Revealer - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Former England captain Wayne Rooney , who helped revitalise one of Major League Soccer's original superpowers when he joined D.C. United previous year , still feels he possesses the quality to compete in the Premier League .

"When you get here [as manager] you expect to win every single game when you have the players you have, and the size of club". We're really happy to have him here with us.

France worldwide Anthony Martial - who had only shown glimpses on his talent under Mourinho - says Solskjaer has released the shackles.

"Paul Pogba was not a popular person at Old Trafford amount the fans at the start of December".

But for now all the focus is on PSG - a tie in which United's hopes have been helped by injuries to key forwards Neymar and Edinson Cavani for the visitors. "They have a few absentees and that should be to our advantage, but they have very good players to come in".

"I don't think we are necessarily favourites", Martial said.

"My personal opinion is to wait until the end of March because I don't think there's any real reason to rush it, to make that announcement today", he said on the Gary Neville Podcast.
