Disney Sets Opening Dates For Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

In case you missed the news, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios is opening ahead of schedule.

The parks will open earlier than expected.

Fans who visit Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge may see some familiar faces, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, BB-8, and Chewbacca, and they may even even find themselves in a face-off with the First Order. That's a few months earlier than the initial opening plan, which slated the Disneyland and Disney World openings for summer and fall of this year, respectively.

The new "lands" will premiere May 31 and August 29 at Disneyland in California and DisneyWorld in Florida, respectively.

The Phase 2 opening date, including the park's other signature attraction Rise of the Resistance, has not yet been announced.

Bogut set for stunning Warriors NBA return
Shams Charania , the senior lead NBA Insider for The Athletic , tweeted that a return to the NBA could be on the cards for Bogut. It's a typical National Basketball Association "fight" complete with half-assed shoves and a lot of backpedaling.

Galaxy's Edge will open in two phases.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular, Star Wars Launch Bay and Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away are all planned to remain open in addition to the brand new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Galaxy's Edge amusement parks at Disneyland (Anaheim, CA) and Disney World (Orlando, FL) finally have official release dates. And the company is expecting a massive turnout for the opening days of the experience. Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels during these dates will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge during their stay (one reservation per registered guest); valid theme park admission is required. When the land debuts at the California and Florida parks, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance-second ride-won't be accessible.

If that footage seems to lean heavily on the Smuggler's Run attraction, which puts visitors in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon for a video game-inspired motion simulator, that's because it will be the only major ride running when Galaxy' Edge opens.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the new 14-acre theme park area, will open at Disneyland in California on May 31, while the opening at Florida's Disney World will be August 29, Disney said on Thursday.
