Actor Jan Michael Vincent, known for 'Airwolf,' has died

Actor Jan-Michael Vincent, who starred on the big screen in the 1970s and in the hit TV series "Airwolf" in the 1980s died February 10 of cardiac arrest. His first film was the Robert Conrad movie The Bandits. His final role was in the indie movie "White Boy" (2003).

Vincent took on his most famous role as helicopter pilot Stringfellow Hawke in the action series Airwolf in 1984.

Jan-Michael Vincent, star of the big and small screen, has died at the age of 74. At one point, Vincent was the highest paid actor on network television, pulling in $200,000 per episode.

After a stint in the California Army National Guard, Vincent made his acting debut in 1967.

Vincent and "Airwolf" co-star Jean Bruce Scott. He struggled with drug and alcohol problems that contributed to a career downfall after "Airwolf". He was ordered to pay $350,000 in 2000 after physically assaulting an ex-girlfriend and causing her to miscarry their child.

Vincent lived with his third wife Patricia Ann who he married in 1999.

Unfortunately, however, Vincent's career was derailed after battling alcoholism and intravenous drug use for much of his life, leading to numerous arrests and multiple vehicle collisions that nearly cost him his life.
