He was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery/strong-arm and criminal mischief over $1,000.

Detectives later apprehended the native of Ireland at a Miami Beach home and booked him into Miami-Dade jail. As the fan attempted to take a photo, McGregor slapped the victim's phone out of his hand, causing it to fall to the ground, the report said.

McGregor, who is thought to have been visiting LIV nightclub, which is in the hotel, then walked off with the phone after he had damaged it.

Conor McGregor has been arrested after being accused of smashing up the phone of a fan on Miami Beach. He then stomped on it several times, reports the Miami Herald. "Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation".
