Eagles expected to sign Malik Jackson

Sources told ESPN on Sunday that the Bucs were actively shopping Jackson and that Philadelphia was his desired landing spot.

According to multiple reports the Eagles have made a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for receiver DeSean Jackson. Jackson finished with 41 catches for 774 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games last season.

More details to come. The report notes that the Philadelphia Eagles are Jackson's preferred destination and that while the Bucs are looking to trade him, some other teams believe the veteran could be cut if a swap isn't realized. He played six seasons with the Eagles, earning three Pro Bowl nods in his time there before a nasty divorce sparked by then-coach Chip Kelly.

Mickelson was in the group at 68 along with Graeme McDowell , Bubba Watson , Patrick Rodgers and Billy Horschel . Former world number one Jason Day lasted less than seven holes before withdrawing due to back problems.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen revealed that the Eagles will reportedly rework DeSean's deal, giving him $27 million over three years with a guaranteed $13 million.

The Eagles feature three receivers - Jordan Matthews, Golden Tate and Mike Wallace - with expiring contracts who could be lost by the end of this week. His playing time was reduced in the second half of last season, but he's still an effective interior pass-rusher.

The team would not confirm the contract, which can be signed before the official start of free agency on Wednesday because Jackson was released by the Jaguars as a cap casualty.
