George Foreman's Daughter Is Found Dead

Legendary boxer George Foreman lost his daughter Freeda, who was found dead in her home in Houston, Texas on Saturday.

Following her father into the boxing ring, Foreman became a professional fighter in 2000 and won her first five bouts before losing in November 2001. Cops are still waiting to determine the official cause of death, but at this time, no foul play is suspected. Here's everything you should know about her.

Foreman tweeted Sunday night: "First Sunday in 42 years without my Freeda". According to police, her body was discovered by family members at her residence near Houston.

TMZ now reports that Freeda died of an apparent suicide, and based on the evidence surrounding her demise it appears she hanged herself.

The Olympic gold medalist, 70, took to Twitter on Sunday, March 10, and recalled a conversation he had with a young Freeda when she told him that she wanted to pursue a career in boxing like her father. There were also rumors her father paid her to quit because he and her mother didn't want her boxing. "She's with her maker now".

Freeda would eventually begin boxing professionally, taking on the sport in 2000 before retiring the next year with a record of 5-1.
