Prodigy Frontman Keith Flint Died From Hanging, Inquest Hears

Prodigy frontman Keith Flint died from hanging in his own home, a British coroner's office has said, corroborating earlier reports from band members that he had taken his own life.

According to Essex Police, the star was found at his home on Monday morning, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

A hearing was told that a post-mortem found the 49-year-old's provisional cause of death was hanging.

Coroner's officer Lynsey Chaffe told the hearing: "Police attended, all protocols were followed and his death was confirmed as not suspicious". She also noted that Flint's case will remain under investigation while toxicology reports are compiled.

Flint went on to appear on The Prodigy's 2004 album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, 2009's Invaders Must Die, 2015's The Day Is My Enemy and 2018's No Tourists.

A devastated Liam Howlett, Flint's bandmate in The Prodigy, revealed to fans last week that he had taken his own life.
