Dolphins Trade QB Ryan Tannehill to Titans for Draft Picks

The Miami Dolphins are in desperate need for a starting level quarterback in 2019 after they traded former 1st-round pick Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans on Friday. The Dolphins get a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a 2019 seventh-round pick, and the Titans get Tannehill and a 2019 sixth-round pick according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Schefter also tweeted that the Dolphins paid $5M of Ryan Tannehill's $7M fully guaranteed money in the form of a signing bonus which he said "softened blow for Tennessee."

His contract was to balloon to $18.7 million in base salary this year, and he would have counted $26.6 million against the salary cap.

SportsTrust Advisors, Tannehill's representation, say his new deal is for one year.

Tannehill will leave a $13.4 million dead cap on Dolphins salary cap in 2019.

The Dolphins are obviously moving in a new direction but where the Dolphins turn to find their next quarterback is anyone's guess at this point. While having flashes here or there he never lived up to being the #8 overall pick in Round 1 of the 2012 draft.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Manchester United were not good enough vs Wolves
Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did not rule out a move for Gareth Bale , insisting the Premier League giants should look to sign "quality players".

Teddy Bridgewater, an injured Miami Northwestern High graduate whom the Dolphins had courted, signed this week with the New Orleans Saints.

Gabbert threw four touchdowns and four interceptions during the season as well.

He missed five games this past season due to a shoulder injury but was able to return for the team's final five games leading the club to a 7-9 record.

Tennessee, meanwhile, adds an injury-prone quarterback to the one it has.

Miami will have all seven of its own draft picks.
