Samsung rolls out urgent fingerprint scanner update to Galaxy S10 and S10+

But barely a week after hitting the shelves, early adopters have started reporting connectivity issues plaguing the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G. It is now learnt that Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Fold smartphone in China on April 16, 2019 which has been confirmed by the manufacturer. After our share of smartphones with various notch designs, it's been a race to see who can successfully hide the front facing cameras. While it's not unusual for new technologies and devices to experience issues when first hitting the shelves, Samsung says it has already released "all software updates that it could do", according to the same source.

The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ both use an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader.

All the four devices feature Samsung's new notch styling going under the Infinity V moniker. On the front there's a 10MP snapper, which performs well enough but is not quite as good as the front camera on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, which has a bonus 8MP assistant. 300,000 may not seem like a lot, but here's some quick math for you: 100 bends a day works out to 36,500 bends a year. This new update not only brings a new OS to the smartphone, but also Samsung's new One UI. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 670 64-bit octa-core processor by Qualcomm, and it comes with a 7,040mAh battery which supports fast charging. All you could do was look at the handset, placed behind a glass window, playing a Galaxy Fold presentation video on loop.

Though there's no special perk for preordering the Galaxy Tab A 10.1, customers in the USA who preorder the Galaxy Tab S5e from Samsung's website from April 12 to 25 will get a free Samsung SmartThings Hub.

Considering the price of the Galaxy Fold, Samsung's dreams are pretty lofty. There's some debate about whether the rear-mounted camera will rotate to double-up as the selfie camera, like the Samsung Galaxy A80, too.
